What is STEM+?
PATHworks uses sports to get kids excited about STEM education. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) concepts are useful in every type of complex problem, and can spark innovation in any endeavor. STEM has catalyzed huge breakthroughs not just in technology, but the social sciences, economics, and athletics. By adding the "+" we are ensuring that students also have the reading & writing skills to communicate their passions and discoveries with words.
PATHworks students are trained to think scientifically and take a data-driven approach to solving challenging problems: on the field, in the classroom, and in all of their future endeavors. With STEM+, PATHworks not only exposes students to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics that go into improving athletic performance, but we also engage them in the ELA (English-Language Arts) principles within the fields of sports marketing & journalism that make sports come to life in magazines, social media and television.
